Crisis On Infinite Earths PT 1
So, we’ve waited a year for this to be upon us! Guess what?!?!? It’s here!!! This review will contain some spoilers, so if you haven’t seen it, you may want to stop! ✋🚫
I am glad this crossover is finally here. I enjoyed the first hour! Lots of anticipation and excitement. As you know, “Supergirl” was our first our. This episode pretty much answered the question of why. Argo City and Earth 38 were destroyed.
There was plenty of superhero action going on. I liked that we got to see what they were doing at the time the cross m crisis was beginning. I also love the fact they didn’t leave Lois and Mia out, or left them where they were.
It was superhero overload. Not in a bad way. It bought in some excitement. I just hope it doesn’t drown out the key players.
Now I do feel that they created more questions rather than provide answers. I am hoping some of those answers will be provided in the upcoming 4 episodes. I did hate Oliver had to die this early, but I understand. Hopefully there is a work around or something. Who knows. Overall, good and decent start.

“Angel Has Fallen”
This movie is the third installment of the series following “Olympus Has Fallen” and “London Has fallen”.
This movie started off a bit slow. However, it was background information that was needed. So that, I’m not even going to complain about.
Other than that it was pretty much action through and through as one would have expected. I hated seeing Banner as the one they were chasing, but knew it would make a good movie as it did.
I didn’t like how short lived Jada Pickett Smith’s FBI character was. She was a beast for sure. Would have liked to see her progress through the movie.
This movie has some serious gun power and explosions just like the other movies. Still I was surprised at the devastation of the hospital and how it fell.
I loved them bringing the father in the movie and Banner’s wife almost immediately trusting him was sweet. The end where she warns him was epic to me.
This movie was good. It was an awesome action movie where I loved just about all of it.

Jack Houghston Memorial Hospital
Phenix City, AL
This iwrs my third time using this hospital for three surgeries. This was one of my best visits. I was there for a total knee replacement. This was my first time having an afternoon appointment. The atmosphere was much friendlier. Even though hospitals can be stressful and no-one is perfect, I was pleasantly surprised by 90% of the staff. They were even friendly to my family.
Things that disappointed or irritated me last year didn’t happen at all this year. That I was very grateful for.
I think my biggest two issues were I had to remind the day nurse I needed a pain pill and how long it took her to come and discharge me. Took her almost three hours to get back to my room and she was still missing stuff.
Overall my day and half experience was pretty good. Even the food was decent!!

“HOBBS & SHAW”
I finally had the chance to see this movie. This part of the “Fast and Furious” franchise. I was totally excited when I heard this movie was in the making. I just hate I didn’t see it in the theater like I had planned.
This movie is action packed from the very beginning. It started off pretty fast. For the most part it stayed action packed throughout.
One of the things I enjoyed was the humor with them arguing back and forth like an old married couple. I enjoyed the Kevin Hart insert too.
There wasn’t much I didn’t like about the movie. The main thing I didn’t care for was Ryan Reynolds character, Locke, from the CIA. It wasn’t bad just a bit much with the excessive talking. I personally would have liked to see his role a little more serious. However, he played it well.
I really loved how they portrayed the importance of family. Sometimes we take that for granted, but the movie highlighted that well without making it a primary focus.
Throughout the movie there were some amazing driving to bring back the “Fast and Furious” series. My favorite had to be the end with the trucks linking up. I did love the motorcycle Brinks was riding.
Overall, I thought this movie was well written and portrayed. Great job!

Have you seen the movie? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
“Unbreak My Heart” by Kashinda T. Marche
I have mixed feelings about this book. I really loved the story. Great storyline and written okay. The characters were real just like the main point of the story. The conversations with the characters were real. I really enjoyed how they always had hope. Great reminder that we may fall, may give up at times, but don’t let it stop you.
The only thing that gave me pause was the repetition. It kind of threw me because I hate a lot of repetition. Other than that it was a good book.

Columbus Wears Black
Compound Columbus Poetry Night
Last Saturday the Compound returned to Columbus! I must say I was excited to get my poetry fix in. Red Storm, Mr. Emotional, and Fresh Prince came to town and killed it.
This was my first time seeing Fresh Prince. I enjoyed watching him perform. I was glad I was there to finally see him. It was most definitely worth it.
Red Storm, I’ve seen once before. I could tell the people really enjoyed him! He was real and very transparent during each of his pieces. His story is raw and real.
Mr. Emotional was also a treat. I was looking forward to seeing him perform again. He really bought out the emotional side of poetry. I love his cause he spoke about to help the children.
Each of the featured artist was great and had a unique flavor that made the show rock. The local artist that participated also were really good. I always enjoy seeing them. Let’s not forget DJ Truz was in the house too!
I’m definitely glad you have the Compound back. Thank you Solow Ent. for making this happen. I’m looking forward to your next event!

Warning: May contain some spoilers.
I finally got the chance to watch “Equalizer 2” on Vudu. I must say I wasn’t that impressed with this one. I had to watch it twice. I thought at first I was just expecting what I saw in the first one. I had to clear my thoughts of the first one, minus the important details that carried over. And watching it a second time, I didn’t change my stance on how I felt about the movie.
The movie started very slow. I understand it had to have some back information, however, it was very slow starting, too much talking for almost the entire first hour. I found some parts of that hour entertaining. You do see the McCall charm as he deals with various people in his everyday life. I do like how they play through his emotions from the time he finds out about his friend until the end.
There wasn’t much action in this one. It seems as if all the action scenes were what we saw in the trailers for the movie. I’d say the climax of the movie hit in the second half.
There wasn’t clarity in the locations. One second you’re in the city. Next someone is asking for the airport, but they don’t show up in Brussels until a few scenes later, after they did something in the city.
I believe they could have made the movie a bit better than they did as far as consistency. The acting itself was good all the around. The story line was decent.

I finally did it! Got my first ever professional massage!!!!
This spa was everything and then some!!! We, my best friend and I, for the BFF special.
From the time we walked in the door we received exceptional service until we left. Even when I couldn’t get out of the extra comfortable chairs (due to a recent knee surgery).
Most businesses in general have you fill out paperwork in the lobby. Not there. After pulling up our appointments, she got our paperwork together, placed hot neck pads on us and walked us to this calm quiet dim waiting area. The waiting area had cucumber water, pretzels and apples. We received nice hot foot soaks while waiting. I would have been just fine sitting there. LOL
Our therapists was great. My friend received a deep tissue massage, I just got a relaxing one. Once the massage was complete we were taken to another calming waiting area before our pedicures. This was the first time I’ve ever had frozen grapes. Delicious I tell you!!
The service was wonderful. The snacks were good. Kept sliding in my flip flops, but it was totally worth it. Will I go again when I visit Utah again, most definitely!

“Gravity” by Shani Greene-Dowdell
I enjoyed this short read. Out pulled on my heart strings. Because it was a short read it moved fast. Which is okay for my limited time.
I would love to read this storyline as a full novel or series. The questions I have!!! LOL Overall, good job!
